Manic Wave is alternative rock for the emotionally feral and beautifully fucked up.
Born in Atlanta in 2024, Manic Wave is a genre-fluid alternative rock band built around restless guitars, atmospheric textures, dark humor, and lyrics that refuse to look away from the mess.
The music moves freely between alternative rock, indie rock, post-punk, post-hardcore, darkwave, electronic experimentation, and whatever else belongs in the moment. One song can feel intimate and confessional; the next can hit like a wall of noise. The common thread isn’t a genre. It’s honesty.
At the center of Manic Wave is songwriter and vocalist Georgie, whose writing turns heartbreak, obsession, alienation, anxiety, religion, self-medication, and the absurdity of modern life into songs that are personal without staying small.
The band’s music takes the things we’re usually expected to hide and drags them into the light — sometimes painfully, sometimes humorously, and sometimes with both happening at once.
That approach has earned Manic Wave attention from independent music press and discovery platforms, while the band continues building an audience through releases, music videos, live shows, and an increasingly distinct visual world.
Manic Wave isn’t interested in fitting neatly into a genre.
The goal is to build a world of its own.
